Details
A magnificent antique diamond solitaire ring made by famed French jeweller “Boucheron” in the early 20th Century. A spectacular old cushion cut diamond takes centre stage and has been tested as natural and weighs an estimated 3.59 carats. It sparkles with immense beauty and life with excellent cut, colour and clarity (SI – K/L colour).
“Boucheron” was established in Paris by Frédéric Boucheron in 1858 and quickly became one of the most celebrated jewellery houses in France. They were known for their flawless and innovative pieces that won them many prestigious awards, including the “Legion of Honour” and attracted many famous clients such as “Tiffany & Co”. Though Frédéric passed away in 1902 his business was taken over by his son and continues to produce high-quality and esteemed jewellery pieces to this day.
The centre stone is complemented by two slender baguette cut diamonds on each shoulder that weigh approx. 0.35ct together, bringing the diamond total to just under 4 carats. This is all detailed in an accompanying E.D.R report card that verifies the rings exceptional quality.
The gallery is all 18ct white gold with the centre stone held securely in a four-pronged mount that crowns it high upon the finger. It’s complete with a faded 18ct stamp on the outside and the maker’s signature on the inside.
It’s a truly outstanding piece and boasts one of the finest diamonds we have ever exhibited for sale. It would make an exceptional engagement ring that is fit for a Queen and would never fail to impress.
We recommend you insure for £35,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
