Laurelle Antique Jewellery is an exciting new boutique opening in Kendal, specialising in unique antique, vintage, and high-quality fine contemporary jewellery. We are building a dedicated team focused on exceptional client service, expertise, dynamic digital engagement and an appreciation for the stories behind every piece.

We are looking for an experienced Retail Sales Representative with extensive broad retail and sales experience to join us as one of our first appointments. You do not need a background in jewellery to apply. If you are a sales expert who loves to learn and is passionate about providing unforgettable customer experiences, we will teach you the nuances of our beautiful collection.

The Role: As the face of our new store, you will provide a sophisticated and knowledgeable experience. You will be responsible for showcasing our unique collection, maximizing sales through a consultative approach, maintaining high visual standards (including window dressing), and generating engaging content for our social media channels. This position requires regular weekend working hours.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a refined, informative, and friendly sales experience to every visitor

  • Rapidly develop knowledge of our antique and fine jewellery (training provided) to advise clients expertly.

  • Manage high-level client relationship development.

  • Create captivating Window Dressing and maintain pristine visual merchandising.

  • Perform accurate daily stock takes of high-value inventory.

  • Content Creation: Capture high-quality photos/videos, create posts, and interact with our digital community.

Essential Requirements:

  • A Proven Track Record in Retail Sales is Essential: Being able to work comfortably in a face-to-face, client-focused environment. 

  • Experience delivering a luxury/premium service experience.

  • Digital Savvy: Strong familiarity with social media content creation and audience engagement.

  • Full Availability for Weekend Work: You must be consistently available to work Tuesday - Friday and Saturdays 

  • Polished, professional presentation and exceptional communication skills.

  • Eagerness to quickly learn the specific historical and technical details of antique jewellery.

Advantageous Skills (Not Essential):

  • Previous experience with Fine Jewellery or Luxury Goods.

  • Specific experience in managing social media for a premium brand.

  • A background in visual merchandising/window dressing for small luxury items.

  • Jewellery-related qualifications (e.g., GIA, GEM-A, JET).
