Product Details
This wonderful antique Victorian brooch depicts a forget me not flower with a curled stem and leaves spreading out across a floral background.
An old German tale tells of two lovers walking by a river. After picking a bouquet of blue flowers for his love the man fell into the river and was swept away – crying out ‘Forget me not’. These beautiful flowers have been known by this name ever since, and are a powerful symbol of enduring love and remembrance.
The brooch is Silver gilded in 18ct Yellow Gold, which has been textured across the flower’s leaves and petals, and smoothed in the brooch’s setting, giving a beautiful two-level effect that sets the flower apart. At the flower’s heart sits a faux Turquoise, which marks the flower as a forget me not.
A sturdy new clasp has been added to the piece so that it fastens securely.
This brooch is part of a matching set consisting of a necklace (19-1109), pendant (19-1112), bracelet (19-1110) and earrings (19-1111). To view these pieces simply click the links above or search the item numbers provided above.
