Product Details
A glorious antique Art Deco pendant exhibiting a mammoth oval cut aquamarine weighing an impressive 25 carats (approx.) The stone has a desirable clear blue hue with flashes of green and has been briolette cut across the back so that the light glistens and flickers across the surface like the sun on a rippling ocean.
Aquamarine derives its name from its calming, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune, and eternal youth.
The frame is fashioned in 18ct white gold and is minimal with open workmanship so that the maximum amount of light can pass through the stone. A twinkling old mine cut diamond is also crowned on top. It weighs approx. 0.30ct and is set in a milgrain bezel mount with the loop attached to the top.
This is a spectacular antique find and the aquamarine is truly mouth-watering and in flawless condition.
We recommend you insure for £8,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
