This fabulous Art Deco blue paste bracelet features alternating open-backed oval paste stones with delicate four-petal links in-between set with sparkling clear pastes. It’s fashioned in silver-toned metal and finished with a cleverly concealed rectangular box clasp, disguised beneath two sparkling stones to create an uninterrupted line of brilliance around the wrist.
Likely crafted in 1920s Czechoslovakia, the historic heart of European glassmaking, this beautiful piece is a wonderful survivor of the interwar period’s golden age of jewellery, with a lingering touch of Edwardian romance. The softly aged clear paste and rich cobalt-blue glass have acquired a character and depth that speak to nearly a century of cherished history.
An irresistible find for collectors of authentic Art Deco design and lovers of vintage glamour, its sophisticated blue and silver tones would make the perfect “something blue” for a vintage-inspired bride, or an elegant statement piece worn with a simple black evening gown.
