Details
A striking antique Art Deco diamond and sapphire cluster ring, showcasing a classic “target” gallery, centred on a magnificent old European-cut diamond bullseye, haloed by calibre-set French-cut sapphires. Weighing approx. 0.70 carats, the central bezel-set diamond displays SI 1/2 clarity - H colour and is accompanied by two single-cut diamonds on each shoulder. It’s fashioned entirely in platinum, with intricate scrollwork engraved on the sides.
In the 1920s, the circular “target” design became a beloved romantic emblem, its surrounding halo symbolising a protective and everlasting bond, while the glowing central “bullseye” captured the radiant heart of one’s devotion. The dramatic pairing of vivid sapphire blue and brilliant diamond white was the most coveted palette of the era, with sapphires denoting loyalty, and diamonds, eternity.
Beautifully preserved and quintessentially Deco in design, this exceptional ring would make a stunning alternative engagement ring or a memorable anniversary gift. Perfect for a woman who adores retro elegance and old-world charm, with its dazzling centre stone holding the spirit of the Roaring Twenties in its scintillating facets.
