Details
This glamorous antique Art Deco diamond bar brooch was crafted in France in the 1920s. Its expertly designed openwork gallery is beautifully executed in 18ct white gold, showcasing crisp geometric architecture and delicate millegrain edging. At its centre sit two lustrous creamy pearls, framed by an enchanting array of diamonds (approx. 2ct total), a captivating combination of old rose and European cuts that glitter across the surface like the pearls’ own personal paparazzi.
Capturing the spirit of the Roaring Twenties, the bar brooch evolved from a practical fastener into a radiant symbol of style, adorning the lapels and bodices of the era’s sophisticated “New Woman.” The twin pearls whisper the romantic Toi et Moi (“You and Me”) sentiment, lovingly guarded by diamonds, together symbolising eternal love, strength, and devotion.
Presented in excellent condition, this spectacular brooch epitomises the glamour and refined craftsmanship of the Art Deco period and will look beautiful adorning a lapel, scarf, or bag. It’s secured by a distinctive screw safety catch and sturdy pin at the back, authenticated with a French Gold Eagle hallmark.
We recommend you insure for £3,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
