Product Details
A fabulous antique Art Deco moonstone bracelet made Circa 1920. The front is adorned with three large cabochon moonstones and four cushion-cut blue sapphires with scrolling, open-metalwork in between, edged with milgrain.
The largest moonstone weighs approx. 6ct, with 4ct stones on either side. They all exhibit a luminous, silvery-blue schiller that floats across the surface when they catch the light.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The bracelet consists of articulated silver links and is fitted with a secure box clasp complete with a safety catch. It’s all in excellent condition and boasts a wonderful array of twilight gemstones.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
