This striking antique Art Deco navette cluster ring, is bezel-set with a deep blue synthetic emerald-cut sapphire at its heart, weighing approx. 1.20ct. The sapphire is framed by ten glistening old mine-cut diamonds and six delicate rose-cuts, including one elegantly set to each shoulder, with a combined diamond weight of approx. 0.50ct.
Sapphire, the birthstone of September, has long been cherished as a talisman of truth, wisdom and protection. Its captivating blue hue has been associated with the heavens and the divine, while its rich royal-blue colouring has made it a particular favourite of kings and royalty throughout history.
The beautifully crafted navette gallery is fashioned in platinum, distinguished by intricate pierced sides and delicate milgrain edging, while the reverse and band are rendered in warm 18ct yellow gold.
Dating to the early 20th century, this exceptional sapphire ring is a wonderful example of the period’s refined craftsmanship and distinctive aesthetic. It has been lovingly preserved and remains in excellent condition, ready to be worn and adored once more.
