Details
This classic antique Edwardian Albert chain consists of solid 9ct gold curb links, two claw clasps and a T-bar. Over time, the gold has developed a charming rosy-gold patina, and each component bears a “375/9ct” stamp, confirming its quality.
Albert chains were both a fashionable and practical accessory for a gentleman in the early 20th Century, often adorned with a pocket watch or fob and secured to the buttonhole of a waistcoat for quick access. Today they’re also worn as versatile and stylish necklaces; a custom started by the wives of soldiers during WW1 who wore the chains as a keepsake.
Dating to the early 1900s, this exquisite Edwardian Albert chain is a timeless design and has a pleasing weight and silky feel. It can be worn as a traditional Albert or as a chic necklace, perfect for layering with other gold chains.
