A regal antique Edwardian ring showcasing a magnificent old cut amethyst solitaire, weighing approx. 6 carats. It has a particularly vibrant, violet hue and is mounted in a substantial bezel setting, edged with milgrain. 

Amethyst is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity and has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and deep violet colouring which has adorned regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels. 

The gallery is modelled entirely in 9ct gold and has developed a rosy patina with age. It’s very eye-catching and crowns the amethyst proudly atop the finger.
