A delightful antique blue Enamel Butterfly brooch from the Edwardian era, Circa 1915.
The pretty butterfly displays beautiful royal blue Plique-à-jour Enamel wings with a red Enamel body.
Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian/ Edwardian era.
The piece is stamped -925- on the reverse for Sterling Silver and complete with makers mark which could be for Marius Hammer.
A lovely collectable antique find and a great talking piece.
