Product Details
A beautiful antique French coiled snake ring from the early 20th Century crowned with two twinkling brilliant cut diamonds upon the head (approx. 0.10ct total) in-between pink ruby eyes.
Serpent jewellery has been fashioned throughout history and was considered a symbol of protection, healing and transformation. In the 19th Century the depiction of a snake became a popular romantic token, with its coiled shape representing eternal love.
The ring is modelled in solid 18ct gold and has a good weight and pleasing patina. It looks wonderful coiled around the finger and is complete with faded French hallmarks on the outside.
