A grand antique coiled snake ring from the early 20^th Century fashioned in 18ct gold with pink ruby eyes and a line of five old mine-cut diamonds across the serpent’s head (approx. 0.60ct total).  

Serpent rings became popular in the Victorian era, after Prince Albert gifted the young queen Victoria with a serpent ring during their courtship. The snake came to symbolise an enduring love and friendship with its coiled shape representing eternity.

The antique serpent ring looks stunning wrapped around the finger and displays clear Birmingham hallmarks within the band that date the ring to 1916.
