Details
An elegant antique Edwardian opal bead princess necklace, made up of forty-eight natural opal beads, with faceted rock crystals in between. The opals graduate in size toward the bottom and are glossy and smooth, with flashes of blue, green, purple and orange, standing out against their pale surface.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck and passion. It has been revered throughout history for its enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of planet Earth or the Aurora Borealis.
This magical Edwardian bead necklace dates to the early 20th Century and boasts a beautiful array of natural opals, all held by a bow-shaped box clasp at the end, fashioned in 18ct white gold, with glittering diamonds spread out on top (approx. 0.22ct total).
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
