A spectacular antique Edwardian bow brooch made by George Kenning & Son in the early 20th Century. It’s modelled in solid silver and decorated with an array of old European cut paste stones that simulate the beauty and sparkle of diamonds.
G. Kenning & Son were established in London in 1860 and known for their quality Masonic regalia and jewellery, with branches all over the United Kingdom from Manchester to Glasgow.
The bow has a wonderful, scalloped border with flower motifs running through the centre. It’s held securely by a strong pin and trombone clasp on the back.
It’s in excellent condition and complete with its original box displaying the maker’s insignia on the underside of the lid.
