Details
This elegant antique Edwardian pearl diamond lavaliere necklace is adorned with a majestic, open-work pendant with a beautiful flower blooming from the centre, topped with a bright, lustrous pearl. It’s surrounded by twinkling old mine cut diamond petals that also decorate the scrolling, foliate gallery and dropper at the bottom (approx. 1.3ct total). It’s fashioned in silver and 18ct gold and suspended from two platinum chains to the main chain, with an additional diamond hovering above.
The classic pairing of Diamond and Pearl has been popular throughout the ages and exudes elegance and sophistication. The soft lustre of pearls beautifully harmonises with the dazzling brilliance of diamonds and together symbolise purity, loyalty, and eternal love.
Dating to the early 20th Century, this glamorous antique Edwardian pearl diamond necklace exemplifies the artistry and elegance of the period. It’s remained in excellent condition and is complete with its original antique box that has accompanied it faithfully across the centuries. It has a luxurious brown leatherette exterior, black velvet interior, with the maker’s insignia belonging to “W. Bruford & Son” of Exeter printed on cream silk under the lid.
