A beautiful antique Edwardian ruby diamond five-stone ring, modelled in 18ct yellow gold. The carved half-hoop gallery is engraved with scrolling artistry down the sides and shoulders and is set with an alternating pattern of three cherry-pink rubies (approx. 0.70ct total) and two old cushion cut diamonds, with superb excellent SI 1 clarity – H colour (approx. 0.12ct each).
Ruby is the birthstone of July and has long been associated with the heart due to its fiery pink/ red colouring which is symbolic of passion. It’s said to bring good fortune in love and provide long-lasting happiness and vitality to any relationship.
This is a gorgeous Edwardian ring, displaying a luxurious collection of quality rubies and diamonds that look stunning spread over the finger. It’s complete with London hallmarks within the band, dating to 1904 and the maker’s mark “CS.FS”, belonging to the celebrated London-based jewellers “Saunders & Shepherd”, established in 1869.
