A stunning antique Edwardian sapphire diamond bangle, fashioned in 18ct yellow gold. The central cluster is crowned with a beautiful deep-blue sapphire, weighing approx. 0.50ct, and is haloed by eight sparkling brilliant cut diamonds, with eight more chasing down each shoulder. They’re all bright and clean, with SI 1 clarity - H colour and together total approx. 1.65ct.
Sapphire is the birthstone of September. The blue variety is considered a stone of truth, wisdom and protection and has long been a favourite of kings and royalty, adored for its royal blue colouring which was considered a reflection of the sky and the heavens, making it divine.
The sleek, solid gold band has a lovely weight to it and is edged with milgrain down the shoulders, with a secure box clasp at the side, complete with safety chain. It’s a spectacular Edwardian bangle, all in excellent condition, with a striking collection of natural gems on display.
We recommend you insure for £4,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
