Product Details
A sweet antique Edwardian sapphire diamond daisy cluster ring, crowned with an electric-blue sapphire in the centre (approx. 0.22ct), haloed by eight twinkling old mine cut diamond petals (approx. 0.24ct total). The stones are set in a platinum flower gallery, with open workmanship at the back and joins an 18ct yellow gold band, with platinum highlights also running down the shoulders.
Sapphire is the birthstone of September. The blue variety is considered a stone of truth, wisdom and protection and has long been a favourite of kings and royalty, adored for its royal blue colouring which was considered a reflection of the sky and the heavens, making it divine.
This would make a gorgeous sapphire engagement ring and bears the maker’s mark within the band, indicating it was made by “Henry Griffith & Sons Ltd” in the early 1900s.
