Details
This sweet antique Edwardian four-leaf clover pendant is fashioned in 9ct gold and made in tribute to the women’s suffrage movement. The abstract clover charm hangs in the centre of a gold halo, with four white seed pearls at each compass point and is further decorated with violet amethysts and green peridot petals.
Green, Violet, and White were worn in the early 1900s to support the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU), a leading force in the UK suffrage movement. The colours symbolised their core virtues: violet for loyalty, white for purity, and green for hope, and sometimes represented the acronym “Give Women Votes!” Additionally, the four-leaf clover is a symbol of good luck and represents the hope and optimism of the movement.
This colourful Edwardian Suffragette pendant is a special collector’s piece commemorating the historic movement that secured women’s voting rights. Perfectly suited to be worn on a gold chain, it serves as an inspiring reminder that with hope and a touch of good luck, anything is achievable.
