Product Details
A grand antique Georgian cuff bangle from the early 19th Century displaying, ornate, open metalwork across the face and down the shoulders with scrolled, foliate motifs and flowers crafted expertly in pinchbeck and gilded in 18ct yellow gold.
The centrepiece is a wonderful Japanese inspired work of art depicting colourful flowers and a peacock highlighted in metallic guilloche enamel which contrasts beautifully against a sky-blue porcelain backdrop.
Guilloche enamel dates to the 17th century. The process involves metal carefully worked by a lathe, or “Rose Machine” into a decorative pattern and overlaid with a colourful enamel to create a striking and highly detailed work of art.
