This extremely collectable hand carved Georgian Diamond Mudra pendant is Circa 1760.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
Mudras are a symbolic hand gesture in Buddhism and Hinduism that is believed to contribute to the bodies energy and balance. Mudra jewellery was created as a symbol of this energy and a reminder of it’s power.
The unique pendant is hand carved from Ivory and depicts a ladies hand performing the ‘Shuni’ Mudra which is believed to help purify ones emotions and thoughts.
The wonderful hand is also adorned with a beautiful Gold bracelet set with 0.55ct of Cushion cut Diamonds.
