A beautifully preserved antique Georgian five stone ring from the early 1800s exhibiting five seductive flat cut garnets with a deep red wine hue.
Garnet derives its name from the Latin word “Granatus”, meaning “seed” due to the stone’s similarities to a pomegranate seed. It’s desired for its blazing red flame that glows beneath its dark exterior and is considered a stone of passion and enduring love.
Each garnet is approx. 0.60ct (3ct total) and held in a closed back 18ct gold collet setting, with intricate patterning running down each shoulder.
It’s a fabulous antique treasure and the stones look fabulous spread over the finger.
