Details
Beautifully preserved from the early 19th Century, this exquisite antique Georgian garnet cross pattée brooch is crafted in 18ct yellow gold and inlaid with a luxurious array of flat cut garnets, both round and pear-shaped, exhibiting a deep cherry-pink hue.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and symbolic of passion, commitment, and enduring love.
This beautiful Georgian garnet cross brooch has remained in excellent condition, a great collector’s piece for admirers of Georgian craftsmanship, fitted with a new pin and locking catch at the back, along with a hook on top to further secure the piece to your lapel, or attach a chain to wear it as a pendant.
We recommend you insure for £2,450. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
