A remarkable antique Georgian guard chain made up of chunky cable links with a bumpy, textured surface leading to an exquisite barrel-shaped box clasp at the top featuring chased floral engraving across every panel, including depictions of forget me nots, a symbol of undying love.
The chain is fashioned in pinchbeck and has been given an 18ct yellow gold finish to match the 18ct clasp at the top. It’s a rare find, all beautifully preserved from the late 18th Century and looks gorgeous draped around the neck.
