A fabulous antique Georgian serpent brooch C. 1800, depicting a wonderful coiled snake which represents love, loyalty and friendship.
The snake is decorated in sparkling white Paste Stones the largest of which is 1.70ct and crowned on the head along with red Paste eyes.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
The piece is fashioned in Silver and beautifully engraved with a wonderful tail which slithers and coils around the curved frame.
A Great talking piece and steeped in history.
