This fabulous antique Georgian necklace is very rare, being a choker and a guard chain in one. Circa 1800
Set with 11 lovely deep Onyx stones set in Steel.
7 Onyx stones hang from the choker section, and 4 Onxy stones are set into the guard chain section.
The beautiful long guard chain can be worn twice around the neck or left long with a clasp to be able to attach a muff.
Muff chains were created to string through a muff of fur which kept a woman’s hands warm when she was outside in cold weather.
Each panel around the necklace is beautifully decorated with a floral pattern.
Steeped in Georgian history, this chain is a lovely unique piece.
It looks wonderful when worn!
