Product Details
A striking pair of antique Georgian turquoise drop earrings, adorned with a sky-blue turquoise cabochon on top and a cluster of turquoise below, depicting a forget me not with a twinkling rose cut diamond in the centre. The stones are surrounded by ornate cannetille workmanship and gold beading, creating two beautiful floral galleries, fashioned entirely in 18ct yellow gold.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December and is considered a stone of good fortune. It was often associated with the Forget me not in the 19th Century due to their similar sky-blue colouring and was given as a token of everlasting love and devotion.
These antique Georgian earrings date to the early 19th Century and have remained in excellent condition. They look wonderful dangling from each ear and are fitted with new lever back fittings at the top.
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
