An exquisite antique Georgian necklace featuring nineteen bright oval cut yellow topaz that graduate in size along the bottom, from 0.80 – 2.5ct in the centre (approx. 26ct total).
The gemstones are set in closed-back links fashioned in 18ct gold with ornate, cannetille beading and scrolling metalwork around the border. They join two textured cable link chains at the end and are held by a box clasp topped with another golden topaz.
Topaz is the birthstone of November. The yellow variety is believed to bring good fortune and happiness and radiates a golden-yellow light that imitates the warm glow of the sun, and like a summer’s day, brings feelings of joy, positivity, and vitality to all in its presence.
It’s a magnificent Georgian necklace, beautifully preserved from the early 19th Century with stunning workmanship and a radiant line of gems across the bottom.
