This beautiful and rare antique Queen Anne flower pendant is decorated with nine oval cut gemstone petals, including red garnets, golden citrines, blue aquamarines, and various other coloured quartz, with a teal-blue paste stone taking centre stage.
During the reign of Queen Anne (1702 - 1714) Great Britain went through some historic changes with the creation of the United Kingdom and the foundations laid for the 18th Century’s Golden Age. The stones have all been foil-backed to increase their sparkle and are all collet set in closed-back 18ct gold settings with an engraved halo around the centre stone.
This is a rare piece of Queen Anne era jewellery, beautifully preserved from the early 18th Century. It’s highly collectable and adorned with a delightful rainbow of coloured gems.
