This wonderful antique Victorian Scottish Agate bracelet is a beautiful example of the era. The links are slices and clusters of Agates in a variety of colours, bordered by engraved Silver fittings.
Each Agate is unique and boasts various earthy colours and patterned layers which are naturally formed, earning it the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’.
Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her frequent trips to Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral from the mid-1800s.
Chased workmanship is beautifully arranged across the padlock’s front and back, creating a beautiful centrepiece to the bracelet. It is a beautifully made, utterly unique piece, steeped in the history of the Victorian era.
