This is a fabulous Sterling Silver Scottish Celtic pendant with a beautiful Citrine stone in the centre.
Circa 1860.
The large Citrine stone is approx 15ct in size and sparkles beautifully.
The name Citrine is derived from the colour - the yellow of lemon.
Citrine is also known as "Gold Topaz" and is the birthstone for November.
The Citrine sparkles and has a crisp, radiant quality about it.
Beautiful Scottish Celtic design throughout and lovely engraving.
Scottish Jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland.
From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.
With a closed backed Silver gallery, fully hallmarked on the reverse.
Looks fabulous when worn, a great talking piece.
It weighs 13.4 grams.
It measures 4cm across x 4cm down.
The centre Citrine measures 14mm across x14mm down.
