This spectacular Silver Victorian brooch is set with eight pieces of beautiful Scottish Agate, each with its own patterning and character. Each Agate is unique, with naturally formed earthy colours and layers, earning it the appropriate nickname ‘The Earth Rainbow’.
Scottish jewellery grew in popularity in the mid- 1800s as Queen Victoria’s frequent trips to her Scottish Castle Balmoral saw her return with Scottish souvenirs and jewellery which influenced the trend in Britain.
This piece has been crafted into an unusual abstract leaf shape which makes it utterly unique. It is an impressive example of Victorian craftsmanship, and a historic piece to be treasured.
