Product Details
This antique 18ct Yellow Gold Edwardian Suffragette ring is a magnificent example of the jewellery crafted during the struggle for women’s equality.
A beautiful approx. 0.80ct Amethyst sits at the rings heart, bordered with four bright, shining approx. 0.02ct diamonds. Two pale green Peridots, approx. 0.60ct each, flank the cluster of central stones, completing the piece.
The expertly crafted 18ct Yellow Gold gallery encloses the array of precious gemstones without obscuring their faces, allowing each to display the most vibrant aspects of their colour.
As with all Suffragette jewellery, the colours are significant, with green, white and violet carrying the meaning “Give Women Votes”, declaring support for the movement which achieved this momentous change in society.
This is an extremely fine example of Suffragette jewellery, and a proud testament to the brave women who fought for the rights of all women.
