Product Details
This spectacular antique Victorian Albert chain crafted in a beautiful union of 9ct Yellow and Rose gold. The two tones of gold are woven together expertly in three distinct styles of link, which are interlaced with one another to create a truly wonderful effect.
The chain contains four long links with cores of Rose Gold and engraved, textured Yellow Gold. The inside of each of these links has been beautifully patterned, and they are joined to one another with an array of smaller links in two distinct styles.
Each smaller link is predominantly rose gold. Half bear textured face engravings which echo the outer faces of the longer links. The other half are masterfully faceted like gemstones to create multiple glittering sides.
The piece comes equipped with twin trigger clasps on either end, as well as a T-bar originally used to secure the chain to the pocket of a waistcoat. It is fully hallmarked with both makers mark and gold stamps.
This truly unique, and utterly remarkable chain is a piece of Victorian history, representing the craftsmanship and attention to detail that the jewellers of the age exemplified.
