A regal pair of antique Victorian cluster earrings from the late 19th Century built around two deep purple oval cut amethysts in the centre (approx. 4ct each), haloed by fifteen glistening rose cut diamonds (approx. 3ct across both).
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The pair is crafted in silver and 18ct gold and feature pierced sides and strong lever back fittings at the back. They’re a striking pair, both in excellent condition with a beautiful cluster of gems at the front.
We recommend you insure for £4,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
