A grand antique Victorian amethyst eternity bangle, depicting a belt and buckle. A full ring of square cut amethysts chase around the outside and each weighs approx. 0.60ct and has a regal deep-purple hue that complements the 15ct yellow gold band beautifully. The piece is further decorated with scrolling, foliate engraving around the sides and the buckle is dotted with twinkling old mine cut diamonds, totalling approx. 0.60ct.Â
Belt and Buckles were a popular love token in the Victorian era, with their unbroken loop and secure buckle perfectly representing a strong, eternal bond that will always hold and never be broken.
This is a magnificent Victorian amethyst bangle, dating to the late 19th Century. It’s well made and solid, with an engraved box clasp at the side, fitted with a safety chain to hold it securely when worn. Â
