Details
Dating to the late 19th Century, this exquisite antique Victorian floral pendant is adorned with a large teardrop amethyst in the centre (approx. 8.5ct), exhibiting a luxurious, deep-violet hue, framed by a wreath of forget-me-nots, encrusted with twinkling rose cut diamonds and lustrous natural pearls, including a bright, silvery baroque pearl dropper dangling from the bottom.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is often associated with Saint Valentine, the patron saint of love. Its deep purple-violet hue contrasts beautifully with the bright, natural lustre of pearls and diamonds, together symbolising love and devotion. The inclusion of forget-me-nots and a circular wreath further enhances the romance of the piece, together representing eternity and faithfulness.
This fabulous Victorian amethyst pearl diamond pendant has been meticulously crafted in silver, with an 18ct yellow gold loop and frame around the amethyst. It’s remained in pristine condition, a wonderful embodiment of everlasting love that would make the perfect antique gift for the one you cherish most.
We recommend you insure for £3,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
