Product Details
A fabulous antique Victorian brooch adorned with seven cushion cut amethysts ranging from 0.20 – 2.5ct in the centre. They exhibit a regal, deep purple hue that’s complemented beautifully by bright white seed pearls that halo the centre stone and curve around the border.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The piece is modelled in 15ct gold and dates to the late 19th Century. It’s remained in excellent condition and displays a striking combination of gems that contrast and complement each other perfectly.
We recommend you insure for £2,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
