A pretty antique Victorian Art Nouveau pendant featuring scrolling, foliate metalwork and three leafy droppers, all decorated with twinkling old mine-cut diamonds (approx. 0.70ct total) and a central oval pear-cut blue zircon with a deep teal-blue hue and icy inner sparkle (approx. 1.6ct).
Zircon is a strong, ancient mineral that can be found in a variety of different colours. The most popular have a deep sea-green or teal-blue hue and are considered the brightest of the blue gemstones due to their radiant sparkle that has earned them the nickname “starlite”.
The piece is in excellent condition and modelled in silver with an 18ct gold back. It dates to the late 19th Century and would look beautiful swinging from the end of a gold chain.
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
