This wonderful antique Victorian Enamel Silver Dragonfly brooch is Circa 1900.
Dragonfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian Eras.
The beautiful Dragonfly is decorated in beautiful green and white Enamel with the lovely long tail adorned with Silver balls.
The tail of the Dragonfly moves left to right, beautifully articulated movement.
Two lovely bright Coral stones adorn the eyes of the insect with detailed wings and legs set in Silver gilded in Gold.
From the depths of the sea, comes the beautiful Coral which is produced by tiny life forms. Same as Pearls, Coral is a water element of fiery colours in shades ranging from petal pink, salmon and velvety red.
The brooch is complete with Pin and safety catch with Silver hallmark on the reverse.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history. An interesting collectable piece that looks beautiful when worn.
Weighs 9.5 grams.
Measures 62mm across x 55mm down.
