Details
This stunning antique Victorian diamond daisy cluster ring is set with nine sparkling old mine cut diamonds graded with excellent SI1 clarity – H/I colour. The central diamond, weighing approx. 0.25 carats, is held in a pronounced claw setting and is encircled by eight smaller 0.08ct diamond petals, creating a generous total of approx. 0.90 carats. The stones are mounted within a grand platinum gallery and joins a sunny 18ct yellow gold band on the reverse.
During the 19th century, old cut diamonds were regarded as the pinnacle of quality, their skilfully hand-cut facets designed to glow and gently dance by candlelight. While less overtly brilliant than modern cuts, their distinctive fire, depth, and slightly rugged charm are difficult to replicate by machine, capturing the romance and craftsmanship of a bygone era.
Dating to the late 19th Century, this striking Victorian diamond cluster ring offers both elegance and impact. It would make an exceptional cluster engagement ring, showcasing a remarkable collection of natural diamonds that have sparkled ceaselessly across the centuries.
