An exquisite pair of antique Etruscan revival drop earrings from the late Victorian era fashioned in 18ct gold with beading and rope edging around the border, surrounding a dropper in the centre dotted with a twinkling rose cut diamond in a star setting.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
They’re a fabulous pair, in excellent condition and complete with an antique earring box with a cream velvet interior, displaying the maker’s mark “J. Carter” under the lid.
