Dating to the late 19th Century, this large antique Victorian floral locket is fashioned in smooth 9ct yellow gold back and front and features elaborate chased artistry across both sides, including a floral bouquet centrepiece with depictions of various ferns, flowers, and forget-me-nots.
Forget-me-nots symbolise friendship, love and remembrance and were popularly featured on Victorian lockets containing images of loved ones, especially those made in tribute to the deceased, signifying that they will never be forgotten and remain forever close to the wearer’s heart.
This beautiful Victorian gold locket has remained in excellent condition and is a wonderful representation of undying love. It’s complete with rims within and has plenty of space to house cherished photographs of loved ones or a lock of hair.
