A wonderful pair of antique Victorian earrings featuring fabulous high relief forget me not flowers with textured leaves and petals crowned with a Faux Turquoise which has long been a symbol of the flower.
An old German tale tells of two lovers walking by a river. After picking a bouquet of blue flowers for his loved one the man fell into the river and was swept away – crying out ‘Forget me not’ before he vanished. These beautiful flowers have been known by this name ever since, and are a powerful symbol of enduring love and remembrance.
The flowers are set upon a lovely reflective gallery with beautiful engraved detailing fashioned in Silver and gilded in 18ct Yellow Gold. They are a wonderful pair and fitted with newer lever back fittings.
