This adorable French tortoise brooch has been lovingly crafted in Silver and gilded in yellow gold. His shell is adorned with twelve lustrous green Paste stones and bordered with eighteen sparkling White Paste stones, while his legs and head carry two more green paste stones each. It was created in France and bears French hallmarks on the C clasp.
The brooch has been beautifully sculpted, with the tortoise’s head off to one side as though his attention has been piqued by some delicious vegetation.
Paste is a heavy, transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. Green Pastes sparkle just like Peridots and take expert craftsmanship to capture their beauty.
