Details
A delightful antique Victorian harlequin ring, adorned with four natural old cut gemstones, including a green tourmaline, pink quartz and a yellow and blue sapphire. The contrasting gems weigh approx. 0.40ct each and are claw set in a 15ct yellow gold gallery, with a sleek band at the back.
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gemstones.
This colourful multi-gemstone Victorian ring dates to the late 19th Century and is in excellent condition. It displays a gorgeous rainbow of natural gems that look wonderful spread over the top of the finger.
