A sweet Antique late Victorian heart padlock modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold and complete with its original key attached to a long chain.
Heart padlocks and keys were a popular motif in the Victorian era and were often gifted as a romantic token that symbolised that the recipient had full possession and access to the givers heart.
The padlock is in good working condition and would look beautiful on the clasp of a bracelet. It’s stamped with the mark of ‘Lewis Brothers’ a renowned jeweller established in Birmingham in the late 19th Century.
