Product Details
A fabulous antique Victorian guard chain made up of 9ct gold cable links that have developed a rosy hue with age. It’s fitted with a lovely flower-shaped slider set with a green and blue cabochon turquoise on each side with foliate and forget me not engraving surrounding.
Turquoise is considered a stone of good fortune and has long been associated with the Forget me not due to the stones matching sky-blue colouring. The flower was a popular motif in the Victorian era and symbolic of undying love and remembrance.
It’s a stylish antique chain, measuring 58 inches at full length, but can be split with the slider to create two festoons that hang at different lengths. It’s complete with the traditional hinged claw clasp at the bottom that could hold a locket, pendant or other trinket.
